Dylan Crews “Seven”
The year of the tiger. 2023 has been a historical year for LSU athletics. First the LSU tigers football team got things started when they beat Alabama in their own house and ended the season as one of the top teams in the country. Then Angel Reese and the LSU tigers women’s basketball team dominated their competition to win the national championship. Now, Dylan Crews and the charismatic LSU baseball team has earned their seventh national championship title. Along the way many incredible moments and stories unraveled. The legacy of Dylan Crews is one that will not be forgotten. Many in the Bayou refer to Crews as the Goat of college baseball, deservedly so. The stats don’t lie for crews and neither does his hard-earned hardware.
Of course, as fate would have it, Crews couldn’t end his victory without a celebratory cigar. In similar fashion to Joe Burrow, Crews knew exactly what he was creating. A moment worthy of being hung on the wall right next to Burrow. There are many details in this piece so look closely. In the background you can find the words “GEAUX TIGERS”, the number “7” and the iconic Alex Box Stadium. In the foreground you can find all the necessary hardware including the National championship trophy and Crews sporting his golden spikes and golden glove. Crews ended the season with quite the resume: 2023 SEC player of the year, 2023 Golden Spikes Award Winner, 2023 College Worlds Series All-Tournament Team, 2023 Golden Glove Winner, 2023 SEC Male Athlete Of The Year, and 2023 National Champion.
